Renfrew is normally a sleepy town but when summer hits, we have an influx of vacationers, cottagers and students returning home. Besides providing people with delicious food and drink, we also love to give you something to do, like enjoy live entertainment on our patio!
Our seasonal entertainment line-up started in May, so here is the calendar in its entirety (any missing pieces will be updated as soon as we book!):
May 2015
Friday, the 22nd: Matt Dickson. A performer who encourages audience participation (he even brings a cow bell and extra mic)! This Perth-based acoustic guitarist knows over 500 cover songs, mostly classic rock but some from every genre.
June 2015
Friday, the 5th: The Dougherty Sisters. These Renfrew-based twins (one of whom bartends for us on occasion) have been singing and playing instruments together their whole lives. We had the pleasure of hosting their FIRST live performance – and they ROCKED! They play a variety of music with a tempo that you can just chill out to and tap your feet to. We’re waiting to book them again!
Friday, the 12th: Matt Dickson. He forgot his cowbell on this night but he had guests singing back up for him. It was a ton of fun! Those who had never heard him before have been contacting us asking when he’ll be back. Scroll down for his next performance next month!
Friday, the 19th: Bahoo & The Brat. This local couple came from Montreal and are we ever lucky they did! Lori takes the lead on vocals and her hubby, Andy, plays guitar. On special occasions, Andy even sets up his keyboard (he’s an amazing pianist, too)! Warning: this couple will have you in stitches all night long between songs.
Friday, the 26th: Cody Labombard. Returning for another performance is our local cutie-patootie with loads of talent. An awesome musician, songwriter and for those looking, he’s easy on the eyes!Saturday, the 27th: Pure Antics. This local girl band has been practicing for this event. They have an autistic friend, Alex, who requires some financial support for his needs. They decided to band together and help raise funds for him. Come on out and support a good cause!
July 2015
Friday, the 3rd: Rich Martel & Tom Boudreau. If you missed them back in May, now’s your chance to get your groove on with this superbly talented duo! Both on guitar, one lead singer, they play mainly contemporary tunes, including
Friday, the 10th: Matt Dickson returns to get our guests singing and dancing! A true performer through-and-through, he reads the crowd and selects the most appropriate tunes out of his 500 long song list. He requests back up singers from the audience, and shares his cowbell for the right audience member and song!

Friday, the 24th: Dean Batstone. We’ve had Dean play at Coco’s numerous times last year, and he chose for us to host his first Canadian performance again this year! He plays guitar, sings and writes his own songs – actually, he’s produced quite a few albums to-date… Based in Almonte, he winters in the States and travels throughout the year for live performances. He’s built up a huge fan base so if you’re thinking about checking him out, get here early!
Friday, the 31st: Rich Martel. Rich is a New Country artist (with originals from his album!) but he plays classic and contemporary rock, too, to please any crowd. He grew up with music as his dad is a popular local musician, too. Rich’s solo act is one you don’t want to miss!
August 2015
Friday, the 7th: Matt Dickson. Come out and party with Matt for the last time before the end of summer! (see above for more details on what you can expect from his show.)
Friday, the 14th: Riq Turner. The former Ambush singer, Riq Turner, and Graham “Shiny” Brown team up on acoustic guitar and electric drums for a Renfrew appearance. Riq’s unplugged show is designed to be FUN from the very beginning. Every song from country to rock, dance and pop is meant to draw the crowd into the party – come out and hear your favourites from all genres and eras.
Friday, the 21st: Bahoo & The Brat. Good music, good people, good times! This musically talented couple always draw a crowd so come early and grab your seat. Lori and Andy play everything from ABBA to Zeppelin, AND they have a light-hearted, jokey chemistry that will leave you with worked-out abs!
Saturday, August 22nd: The Dougherty Sisters. The Renfrew twins are back to close out the summer with a second appearance! They were such a hit earlier in the season that we were asking them back right away. Due to some family priorities, they could not book until now. If you missed them in June, now is your chance to catch them before patio season is catapult!
Friday, the 28th: Dean Batstone. Now’s your chance to catch this guy before he heads back down South for the winter! His feel-good fans (a really good crowd) tend to follow him and fill up the place. Always a good idea to either reserve a table or come early for dinner to save yourself a seat!
